Directorial debut: Kanye West - 'RUNAWAY'

Over that last few days our class was shown Kanye West's debut film "Runaway"
I went into this prepared to dislike it just as much as I do Kanye's general attitude and was BEYOND surprised to be drawn into not just the artistic abstract visuals, but the over laying tracks as well.
Seeing as this was West's acting and directorial debut I wasn't surprised to see some stiff line reciting from the man, as well as a few badly lit scenes.
The film was an abstract wonder and each scene contributed to the over arcing story which unfolded song by head-bobbing, foot-tapping song.
Fan or not give this short a try if for no other reason than as a 'test run' of Kanye's new album (The film features five or six songs from his new album 'My Beautiful Dark Twisted Secret')
Check it out! It may change the way you view Mr. West.

THE LOOK BOOK!

IT'S THE GODDAMN BATMAN!

LookBook is a smiple easy and quite attractive little blog created on the other side of the world, but edited and contributed to by the masses.
If you're looking for style -be it street, high fashion, or something a little mismatched or grungy - look no further.

I can't tell you how addicted I've been to this site since I found it. It's amazing to see so many different styles from ALL OVER the globe.
Hipsters, this one is for you.
If I could give lookbook a score out of ten, I'd have to give it a twelve.
Even though the design is simple I think that's a plus. There are hardly any distractions by ads or pop-ups and again, THE STYLES ARE CRAZY!
if you're interested in fashion and even if you're not, give this blog a try.
I'm sure you'll find SOMETHING of interest.

Coke fiend?

Coke or Pepsi?
The never ending debate rages further still...

You may say they're both the same but some argue the two are not alike at all.
To be fair there are some difference -subtle- but present nonetheless...
I find Pepsi a bit sweeter and not as heavy on the cinnamon taste, I could be wrong but you can go ahead and blame my pallate for that...

One thing I HATE is going to a restaurant, asking for Coke and being told "we don't carry that... is Pepsi ok?"
NO IT IS NOT! If I wanted a Pepsi I would have asked for it.

I must say I prefer Coke but I attribute that to my sister being addicted to the stuff (wait... that sounded terrible..)  and seeing zero Pepsi bottles around my house growing up.
Which do you prefer? Do you even care?

The rat race.

Hello readers,

Before I start my tyrade let's get one thing straight. NONE of these candidates in my oh-so-humble opinion deserve my vote.
This whole mayoral race has been a mudslinging (for lack of an appropriate term) contest; who can call the most names, or undermine their opposition in the most hurtful or personal ways.
Don't get me wrong, I understand the need to downgrade your oponent when running for a position like mayor but honestly, when is enough enough?

The following is a quote from a voter:
"Rob ford doesnt want Toronto to be a place for new commers and [wanting] to stop programs like meals on wheels is wrong. Rob ford's platform is not in the 21first centry, we need transit, [and] everyone should be welcome."

I must say I agree whole heartedly with the above sentiments.
Canada is a melting pot of cultural diversity that's what makes us what we are.

With that, I'll leave you to make your own decision on the matter.
But one more thing...

ANYONE BUT FORD!
